3.Coniston 1st $1.50 was impressive at the trials with three win then on debut, drew wide got back to last, and finished off strongly and ran the best closing sectionals for 7th. The form out of that race has been very good. He steps to 1400m here which will suit and drawn better and the smaller field will help. McNab rides and should be very hard to hold out. 6.Djibouti 3rd fresh up over 1600m got well back on the inner and then weaved her way through, then balanced up and changed legs, and hit the line well for third in the best closing sectionals. Craig Grylls has kept the mount and she can settle handier with the blinkers on. Strikes a weak field. RP $2, $2.35 FF
