Hastings is looking good

With the better weather knocking on the door, there is some great racing coming up. Starting with the Howden Insurance 1600 at Hastings this Saturday. It is currently a Soft 6 and with decent weather forecast, should get back to a 1.10.0 for 1200m. I’ll be previewing all the races there and Brendan will be walking the track for us. The rail is back to true so will be interesting to see if the inside 5 metres of fresh ground will favour on pace runners. There seems to be a few on pace runners in the big one there, so the draw and where horses are likely to land in running are crucial. Also, the tempo will also have a big effect on the outcome.

In this week’s weekly review, I have included a few Australian horses worth watching out for here.

I’ll be posting an early preview of Saturday by Friday 1 pm.
