The track has come back to a Soft 5 which is great. We should get some decent racing. There a lot of fresh up runners they tricky races. The TAB site has introduced the Place Extra which will come in handy some times.

6.Vito 5th looks a promising stayer. He won his two races impressively here over 1600m, then charged home for fourth in excellent sectionals. The 2100m here looks ideal and he will settle back off the pace and with an even pace predicted, he can work his way into it and finish over them. RP $4, $6.50 FF

15.Russian Prime 3rd has looked better than a maiden and looks nicely placed here over 1400m. She has looked as though 1400 will suit her better and drawn well to get a winning run. And she has been freshened up and almost won that way on debut. RP $3.50, $3.70 FF

15.Top Marks 2nd is very well bred being out of the Oaks winner Savaria. His trials have been full of running in behind the winners- his last one he looked stronger than his earlier trials and was blocked half way down. Drawn well and the early money has come for him. RP $4, $4.20 FF in from $9 FF

9.Faultless 4th did too much work in the first 800m of his last start and will be fitter now. Can run time and with a better ride, is a nice upset chance. He has the concussion plates coming off which is a positive and the Shadow Roll going on, which will help him. RP $7, $15 FF

3.Oberon 4th goes well here and went a good race when caught wide in the R75 race at Ellerslie. Drawn to slot in about 5th or 6th and with a solid pace predicted, is a nice eachway chance. RP $7, $12

5.Shalabiya 3rd has looked very good in her two starts to date. She ran an outstanding speed rating on debut and wasn’t as sharp second up. She has had a nice break and her trial at Ellerslie showed she is ready to go again. Drawn well and looks a good bet. $2.50, $3.80 FF

5.Vegas Queen 3rd goes very well fresh. She has won her last two campaigns fresh up, the last being here in good time. She trialed recently and looked ready to go. Drawn to get every chance from the draw. RP $5, $7 FF

9.Roc all Night 1st $6 ran a good race fresh up over a sprint distance but needed the run. He will be much fitter now and with Craig Grylls up, will be hard to beat. RP $5, $7 FF
