New Plymouth preview
A decent track here for a change and some interesting races, especially I Promise. I’ll have the early preview of Saturday up by 6 pm with a great day of racing here and in Oz.

4.Super Patch did some work to lead start two starts back at Te Rapa and stuck on well for third. 2000m will suit better and with little pace in this he can lead or sit 2nd outer and kick and hold on. RP $3. $2.9 FF

11.Scittore 1st $9 was last in a much stronger field at Hastings then was blocked for a run 250m out when looking as though he had something to offer. This is easier and looks a nice horse. RP $4, $5.50 FF

5.Alaskin ran 2nd here fresh up in a strong $35k race over 1800 fresh up. She trialed at matamata and was caught wide in the open all the way and battled on well midfield. Not a strong field and she is a nice chance at odds. And she qualifies for the Pearl Bonus too. RP $6, $11 FF

2.I Promise 1st was a $350k purchase and he looked like he promised to win on debut when he led all the way in his trial with Samantha Collett on and showed a will to win. Drawn out but shows enough early speed to sit 2nd outer or even lead with Samantha Collett up and kick and win on debut. $1.70, $2.05 FF

9.Kuroko 1st $4 won strongly last start when 3 wide midfield, went to the lead with 600m to go when the pace slackened, kicked and won well. It was a weaker field but he looked impressive doing it and this is not a strong R75 race. There looks to be a good pace here and he can come with the last run at them. RP $5, $6 FF

1.Wyworry worked for the lead fresh up, and was run down late for second by a good horse. He won second up at Riccarton this time of year. Lisa Allpress rides him again and he has drawn well and should be hard to beat despite the weight. RP $3.80, $5.50 FF
