Saturday preview below.

As mentioned before, I’m taking a few days break but have detailed the better confidence bets for Saturday.

No Heads Up this week but it will be back next Friday.

Bet of the Day Awapuni Race 7 2.Aalaalune $2.80 Ff and is the only Quality bet

Value bet of the Day Te Rapa Race 7 8.Justamaiz $5.50 Ff

Speed map Special Awapuni Race 5 4.Beyond The Fort $2.90 FF

Sneaky of the day Awapuni Race 1 9.Malo Bik $14 Ff

Race 1

Confidence: 2/5

9.Malo Bik won very well last start in a better time than the Open Handicap. He is probably better suited to 1400m and although up in class, he maps to get a good run and if Parkes can time his run he could upset these. RP $7, $14 Ff

Race 5

Confidence: 3/5

4.Beyond The Fort won impressively two starts back over 1600m off a fast tempo. Then last start got back on a badly biased track and did very well to get up for third. She is a very good mare and  fitter for that so looks well placed on 54kgs with an even tempo likely. RP $2.60, $2.90 FF

Race 7

Confidence: 3/5

2.Aalaalune rated 106 when running a close 4th here in the Sires. This campaign she didn’t get things go her way until she showed that she has got what it takes to be a very good horse when charging away at Te Rapa in a very good speed rating and eased down late. She has developed into a very strong three year old filly and from the draw, should be able to slot in about 6th or 7th outer, and with enough tempo up front looking likely. Ryan Elliot, who knows her well now, should be able to find the gaps to power over these in the last 100 metres. RP $2.00, $2.80 FF ( 4.2 units with the Value Staking Plan )

Te Rapa

Race 7

Confidence: 2/5

8.Justamaiz- not many horses can win like he did last start stepping to 2400m third up off a last start 1600m race. It was a fast run race as well, and the time very good. He has won here before over 2200m in R82 grade and is even fitter for that last win. RP $4, $5 FF

Race 8

Confidence: 2/5

1.Yearn won really well last start at Pukekohe and has that will to win. Rates well again but the negative is the wide draw. If the inside goes off, which it can do here, her chances increase. RP $2.80, $2.90 FF
